About TCH

There once was a time when a man could be a man. He would drink scotch at the barber shop. Having an occasional cigar was not frowned upon. He knew the fundamentals of boxing. He watched out for his friends.

He took care of his family at all costs, taking on the role of leader of the household. He would guide his children to choose the best path. He admired his wife. He took care of his parents. He knew all too well what it meant to be a brother. He could be himself.

We’ve come a long way from the 1950s. Barbers are now called hair stylists. Satchels are now called man-purses. Marlon Brando morphed into Robert Pattinson. With women gaining more and more financial independence, men have somewhat retreated into the background of the household dynamic. Don’t get me wrong, I am the first one to tell you that women should use all of their potential and exploit their talents. After all, we love our women. However, there eventually comes a time when a woman wants a man. They crave the qualities seen long ago that made women feel protected. They realize they want somebody with a metaphorical strong hand.

Don’t be fooled. I am not saying that men have to carry machine guns around and drive Hummers and punch anybody that crosses their path in order to be real men. There are some things you can do to reduce the amount of estrogen that the media tries to force-feed us.

This being said, there are some men out there who are looking to claim back their space and reincarnate those qualities that have been lost over time. There are men who long for the days of true loyalty towards your fellow man, days of chivalry, days of self-respect, and days when a firm handshake was as binding as a legal contract. Luckily, a group of men came together and decided it was time to redefine what it is to be a man.

This is who we are.

Team Chest Hair is here to offer advice, share stories that may help others, help men find their true identity, and, once in a while, praise a new beer that we tasted over the weekend. We also look forward to linking you with other sites that also have the same goal as us. The rebuilding of today’s man begins with a simple step, but we know the end result will be worth it. You will end up being a better son, a better husband, better father, a better brother, and a better friend. If any portion of your manliness is improved, consider it a win.

Team Chest Hair also realizes that any change worth making doesn’t simply happen overnight. Becoming a better man is a long process. However, that doesn’t mean it has to be boring or uninteresting. Our Team’s 5 core values make us better men. How? Small steps.

Think of this web site as a cigar bar that is populated by friends who have a desire to become better men. We discuss manly issues. We learn from each other. Most importantly, we have fun while doing it. Feel free to throw in any topics of discussion that you want to read about. We will also have a mailbag section to the site in which you can ask Team Chest Hair advice on something that has kept you scratching your head. And who knows, perhaps we’ll throw in a hot girl every now and then (just to keep you coming back).

Thanks for stopping by. We hope you enjoy all of the awesomely manly things that are to come your way.

So pour yourself a drink, browse through our site, and put some hair on that chest.

Welcome to Team Chest Hair!

  • Saddleback iPad Case Giveaway 05/18/2012
I’ve been an iPad owner for almost a year now.  I love it. I feel like I’m holding some magical window to the future whenever I’m using it. One minute I can be reading a biography of Theodore Roosevelt and the next I can be watching a free video lecture about Roosevelt on YouTube.
